You can’t break the ice without an ice-breaker:

Did you know Antarctica is the windiest place on earth?

I didn’t. However, now that the ice is broken (hopefully not in Antarctica), I would like to formally introduce myself. My name is Emily Julian. I specialize in merchandise, logo, and brand design. Past the surface level of my profession I am a daughter to Michelle Johnson and sister to Kevin and Paul Bailey. Past that, a loving wife to my dear husband, Benjamin Julian (queue wedding photo), and many more titles to many more of my beloved family members. I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, but plan to move west in the coming years. Ben and I enjoy hiking, camping, and spending an abundance of time with family and friends. If we were to welcome you into our home, you might come across the void that is our black cat — Crumb. She’s a stinky girl who’s chunky in all the right places. When Crumb and I are not discussing the latest news on what bug she caught that day, you’ll find me in our backyard tending to our new garden beds or sitting by the fire. With Ben being in the Navy, I spend a lot of my free time at home seeing what new hobby I can learn that day. More into hobbies, that is actually what started my graphic design career. I initially went to school for Veterinary Science but found that my life hungered creativity and variety. Working an 8am-5:30pm as a veterinary assistant opened my eyes to what I didn’t want. I left the clinic and changed my degree. Thus was born a motivated artist ready for any challenge thrown her way. I’ve always loved art, even as a kid, and I appreciate the different ways I can show it. Which, is why you’ll find more than just graphic design in my portfolio. I am always growing and I’m capable of so much. Please allow me to grow with you!
